The method is implemented though a media conversion device, and the media conversion device comprises an RJ45 (registered jack 45) connector, a box body, a direct-plug-in connecting interface of a coaxial cable and a circuit fixed inside the box body, wherein the circuit is arranged on a PCB (printed circuit board) inside the box body to achieve the conversion of a network signal, the RJ45 connector adopts the identical eight pins with an RJ45 seat, the media conversion device replaces the RJ45 seat and is arranged on the PCB through the eight pins. Due to being provided with the circuit which is converted between a standard interface of a balancedly-transmitted Ethernet and an interface of an unbalancedly-transmitted coaxial cable, the conversion device can be directly connected with a system which transmits Ethernet baseband signals through coaxial cables or twisted pair cables.
