A page turning control displayed on a touch screen comprises a page turning button module, a page number display module and a page number positioning module, wherein the page number positioning module comprises a sliding bar and a cursor. The page turning method comprises the steps of capturing a touch event on the touch screen and conducting analysis; when a click touch event of the page turning button module is captured, executing page switching according to the instruction of a page turning button; and when a cursor sliding touch event of the page number positioning module is captured, determining a page number pointed by the cursor after the cursor is slid and stops on the sliding bar, and then switching the current page to the page indicated by the page number. Through touch operation, the page can be turned rapidly without requiring a user to additionally input characters, the structure of the page turning control is more simplified, the page turning operation is relatively simple and easy, and the method and the device are very suitable for the touch screen equipment with a smaller screen.
