Abstract

A method includes receiving a stored-value card transaction request from an access point. The stored-value card transaction request is associated with a package identification number, and the package identification number is associated with a plurality of stored-value cards. The method further includes generating a plurality of children transaction requests based on the stored-value card transaction request. The method further includes sending at least one of the plurality of children transaction requests to a first card party. The method further includes sending at least another of the plurality of children transaction requests to a second card party. The second card party may be the same or different from the first card party.

Description

Background technique [0001] The market for stored-value cards, such as gift cards, continues to grow to unprecedented levels. As such, the current pressure on the stored-value card system has not been encountered, and more efficient transactions are necessary. Summary of the invention [0002] Disclosed are methods, networks and storage media for effective stored-value card transactions. One method includes receiving stored-value card transactions and processing the stored-value card transactions. The method also includes using a linearly scalable grid computing network for the settlement of stored-value card transactions. [0003] A machine-readable storage medium includes executable instructions, which when executed, cause one or more card parties to receive stored-value card transactions and process the stored-value card transactions. It further enables the one or more card parties to use a linearly scalable grid computing network for the settlement of stored-value card trans...
