Abstract

The invention discloses an additive for promoting postpartum recovery of a sow as well as a preparation method and application of the additive. The additive comprises the following traditional Chinese medicinal materials by weight: 20-60g of seed of cowherb, 9-20g of motherwort, 10-40g of dandelion, 10-30g of astragalus, 10-40g of Chinese angelica, 10-30g of hawthorn, 6-12g of houttuynia cordata, 5-15g of szechuan lovage rhizome, 8-15g of uniflower swisscentaury root and 1-2mg of VB1. The invention further discloses application of the additive in preparing a medicine for promoting the postpartum recovery of the sow. According to the additive, the experimental result proves that the additive has the obvious effects of activating and enriching the blood, diminishing inflammation and removing leakage on the postpartum sow.
