Abstract

A device expanding system and a device expanding method thereof are disclosed. The device expanding system includes a main control device, a bus and a first expand device. The first expand device is used for electrically connecting to the main control device. The first expand device includes a first processing module and a first counter. When the first expand device is electrically connected to the main control device via the bus, the main control device assigns a first serial number to the first processing module of the first expand device to be a bus address of the first expand device. The first counter is electrically connected to the first processing module; wherein when the first expand device series connects to a second expand device via the bus, the first counter generates a second serial number by calculated the first serial number and transfers to the second expand device.
