Abstract

The invention discloses a monitoring system for water usage, which can grasp the variation in water quantity requirements measured by a measurement device for water use and realize low communication cost. The monitoring system for water use comprises a plurality of measurement devices and a monitoring device for water use. The measurement devices are operated as follow: recording the measurement value of water capacity detected within a prescribed cycle according to time sequence as a first measurement record (38) in a first storage device (34); and transmitting the non-transmitted part of the first record (38) in a cycle which is a specific communication cycle and is longer than the measurement cycle. The monitoring device for water use is connected to measurement devices (3) by a wired or a wireless network.
