However, coordination requires significant over-the-air and backhaul overhead since complete channel state information (CSI) needs to be shared between BSs
Also, while CoMP schemes may be effective in minimizing inter-cell interference, interference may still exist between neighboring cells along the handover region

Embodiment Construction

[0029] Described herein are embodiments related to communication in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, the serving signal from the serving base station and the interfering signal from neighboring base stations are divided into multiple sub-streams. A power allocation algorithm is used to calculate the power crest factor used in the wireless communication system.

[0030] Referring now to the accompanying drawings, figure 1 is a diagram of a wireless communication system 100 according to various embodiments. In one example, the wireless communication system 100 includes a plurality of base stations (BSs) 110 and a plurality of terminals 120 or user equipments (UEs). Additionally, one or more base stations 110 may communicate with one or more user equipment 120 . By way of non-limiting example, BS 110 may be an Access Point, Node B, and / or other suitable network entity. Each BS 110 provides communication coverage for a particular geographic area 102a-c. Abstract

The present invention relates to wireless communication interference mitigation. Described herein is an embodiment involving communication in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, the service signal from the service base station and the interference signal from the neighboring base station are split into a plurality of subflows. A power distribution algorithm is used to calculate the power amplitude factor of the subflow passed from the service base station communication coupled to the corresponding wireless device. Describes the control signaling for this embodiment.

Description

Background technique [0001] Single frequency multiplexing is widely used in current state-of-the-art wireless systems such as Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) to cope with increasing average cell throughput without bandwidth extension limitations. If interference mitigation techniques are lacking in these systems, cell edge user equipments (UEs) will experience strong interference from neighboring cells, which reduces UE throughput. In order to improve average cell throughput and cell edge UE throughput, powerful interference mitigation techniques are an inevitable part of wireless systems. [0002] Different interference mitigation techniques have been proposed recently. The first type of interference mitigation uses Fractional Frequency Reuse (FFR), which is widely discussed in Long Term Evolution (LTE). In general, the concept of FFR requires allocating all available partitions of the frequency band to serve UEs near the cell center, while limiting transmission to UEs...
