Embodiment 1

[0052]In this example, if figure 2 and image 3 As shown, it is assumed that f1 and f2 belong to frequency band 1, f3 belongs to frequency band 3, the cell on f1 is Cell1, the cell on f2 is Cell2, and the cell on f3 is Cell3. The specific steps are described as follows:

[0053] Step 1: UE1 enters the connection state through Cell1 in the eNB;

[0054] Step 2: The eNB initiates a capability query process to UE1, and UE1 reports that it supports carrier aggregation of frequency band 1 and frequency band 1, carrier aggregation of frequency band 1 and frequency band 3, and an MTA that supports carrier aggregation of the same frequency band at the same time, and an MTA that does not support carrier aggregation of different frequency bands;

[0055] Step 3: UE1 moves into the coverage of RRH and repeater. Due to the increase of traffic, eNB decides to configure carrier aggregation;

[0056] Step 4: eNB issues a measurement task to UE1 to measure the cells on f2 and f3;

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for a terminal to report the MTA capacity in a carrier aggregation system. The method comprises that after receiving a terminal capacity query message of a base station, the terminal reports the MTA support capacity to the base station. Therefore, after MTA is introduced into the carrier aggregation system, MTA support capacity reporting of the terminal to the base station can be achieved and accordingly the base station can obtain the MTA support capacity of the terminal and can configure carrier aggregation for the terminal according to the MTA support capacity.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the field of communication technology, in particular to a method and device for a terminal to report the capability of multiple timing advances in a carrier aggregation system. Background technique [0002] In a Long Term Evolution (LTE for short) system, user equipment (User Equipment, UE for short) needs to obtain uplink synchronization and downlink synchronization with the base station before sending uplink data to the base station. When the UE has performed measurement on a certain cell, it has obtained downlink synchronization with the cell; otherwise, it needs to perform a process similar to cell search. The downlink delay is obtained through downlink synchronization. Uplink synchronization is obtained by performing a random access process, and at the same time, a transmission time advance (Time Advance, TA for short), which includes uplink and downlink transmission delays, is also obtained. The TA is mainly use...
