Abstract

A natural texture based two-dimension multivariate data visualization method comprises steps as follows: step one, data processing stage: preparations are made for visualization mapping; types and formats of data are converted, so that the types and the formats of the data accord with an input of a visualization mapping module; a texture sample plot is preprocessed, and recalculation operations which don't require visualization mapping each time are finished; step two, visualization mapping stage: three attributes of two-dimension multivariate data are mapped to the size, the direction and the color of texture respectively; and step three, visualization sensing stage: a visualization image is drawn and shown to a user, feedback of the user is received, and a visualization display result is changed correspondingly.
