The vacuum generating system 6 comprises a tank 14 forming a chamber with a larger volume than the gas in the mold to be sucked, which chamber is connected to a vacuum pump (not shown) which creates a partial vacuum inside the tank. The vacuum generation system may also include a main valve 16 which may be controlled to open and close the conduit connecting the valve arrangement to the tank 14 .
