Abstract

The invention discloses a method for maintaining a base station. The method comprises the following steps that an RRU detects a communication link with a BBU in a timed mode; when the communication link has a failure, a preset wireless transceiver module is started to establish wireless connection with a wireless maintenance device matched with the preset wireless transceiver module so that the RRU which has a failure can be maintained. The invention further provides a system for maintaining the base station. According to the method and system for maintaining the base station, a maintainer can use the wireless maintenance device for communicating with base station equipment within a certain range, acquire or modify data of the base station, position the failure, clear the failure, and the like. Moreover, maintenance of the base station equipment can be efficiently achieved under the condition of guaranteeing safety, and convenience of failure clearance and safety in the maintenance process are improved.
