Abstract

The cognitive radio technology is an effective method for solving the problem of the shortage of frequency spectrum resources in a wireless application environment. Frequency spectrum detection technology of main user idle frequency spectrum sensing is an indispensable technology in a cognitive radio network, the capability of a cognitive user to detect main user frequency spectra is limited by a multipath effect and a shadow effect, and as a result, frequency spectrum detection probability is low. The invention provides a cooperative-type frequency spectrum detection scheme in which five cognitive user cooperative mechanisms are adopted. With the cooperative-type spectrum detection scheme adopted, mathematical formulas of global error false alarm probability and global detection probability under two kinds of fusion criterions of an OR criterion and an AND criterion can be deduced, and a relation schema of detection probability and signal to noise ratio under the two kinds of fusion criterions can be obtained. Simulation results show that the detection scheme provided by the invention can improve the efficiency of main user frequency spectrum detection performed by the cognitive user.
