Abstract

The invention discloses a method and system for replacing a power battery of an electric car. The system comprises a power unit for providing driving force, a transmission device for providing transmission force and changing the transmission direction, a rack, coupling devices and locking devices. The transmission device is a gear set mechanism. A transition gear, located at a higher position, of the gear set mechanism is connected with the power unit. A driving gear, located at a lower position, of the gear set mechanism is meshed with the rack. The coupling devices and the locking devices are arranged on the rack. The locking devices are inserted type special-shaped taper pin mechanisms. The power unit provides the driving force and drives the transmission device to drive the rack to do linear reciprocating movement so that locking elements on a power battery box can be separated from and coupled with the coupling devices. Meanwhile, the locking devices, namely, the inserted type special-shaped taper pin mechanisms are separated from and connected with the locking elements on the power battery box. The system ensures that the power battery installed on a car body of the electric car can be safely, conveniently and quickly replaced.
