A locating request is sent to a base station, so that available satellite list information of the base station is received, and predicted navigational satellite broadcasting data are obtained; according to an available satellite list, a satellite to be detected currently is determined, and a GPS navigation message played by the satellite to be detected currently is detected; when the assigned length of the GPS navigation message played by the satellite to be detected currently is received, the first GPS time corresponding to the GPS navigation message with the assigned length is determined according to the predicted navigational satellite broadcasting data; the first GPS time is used, so that the pseudo-range corresponding to the satellite to be detected currently is calculated; when the pseudo-ranges of the available satellites of the assigned number are calculated, the position information of the electronic device is determined according to the calculated pseudo-ranges.
