Abstract

The invention discloses a method for reconstructing flame CT (computed tomography) images with adaptive section sizes. The method comprises the following steps of (1) extracting a foreground image; (2) establishing a ray linear equation and calculating the weight of a section unit; and (3) generating a section. By using the method, the actual range of flame on two-dimensional sections can be determined according to a projection image of the flame, effective surface elements of the sections on a reconstructed flame object are adaptively selected, so that CT reconstruction speed is increased, and influences on light bands are reduced; the method actually plays an important role in three-dimensional reconstruction of flame of which the geometrical shape is continuously changed in the aspects of the space and the time, for example, the shapes of the flames of a candle or a burner are different on space height, and the flame is outwards expanded and diffused along with time when an internal combustion engine is ignited; by using the method, the dimension of a linear system of equations is simplified, and the reconstruction speed is increased; and the effective surface elements are limited by extracting the foreground, the influences on the light bands are reduced, and the reconstruction quality of the two-dimensional sections is improved.
