Abstract

The invention discloses an image cutting method and an image cutting device, which belong to the field of image processing. The image cutting method comprises the following steps: a face saliency model of an image is established, wherein the face saliency model is used for characterizing the influence of faces in the image to the saliency values of pixels in the image after the faces are superposed; a pre-established color saliency model and the face saliency model are linearly superposed to obtain a target saliency model; and the image is cut by using the target saliency model. The image is accurately cut by combining the color saliency model and the face saliency model. The problem in the related technologies that only color information of an image is considered in image cutting based on image color saliency analysis and an image including other important features can be easily mis-cut is solved. Faces in an image can be effectively cut when the image is cut.
