Abstract

The invention provides a network forwarding method and device. The method includes the steps of obtaining IP addresses and network types of access network devices, configuring an address mapping table between the network devices, obtaining the source IP address, the target IP address and request data of the IPv4 network type of a request message when receiving the request message for allowing the IPv4 device to have access to the IPv6 device, converting the source IP address and the target IP address of the IPv4 network type into the source IP address and the target IP address of the IPv6 network type according to the address mapping table, repackaging the source IP address, the target IP address and request data of the IPv6 network type to form a message, and sending the message to the corresponding IPv6 device.
