[0093] refer to figure 1 , figure 1is the section A-A of the top of the first configuration of the device according to the invention comprising an electric motor ME which takes electrical power from the distribution network (1) when it is plentiful and available on the network; Energy is stored in a storage device. When required by the network or grid, the energy is then redistributed by the generator GE to the network ( 1 ) or possibly to another grid. Since this device emits no greenhouse gases, it is environmentally friendly.

[0094] figure 2 or image 3 An energy storage device is shown according to a first configuration of the storage device as defined in the present invention. In this non-limiting example of an energy storage device according to the invention, the device comprises at least a compact and dense mass M of section S2. The weight has a relative density to water of at least 1 in order to store a large mass in a small volume. The selected weight has a ...

Abstract

The invention relates to a reliable, eco-friendly, and reactive device for storing large amounts of recoverable energy with high overall energy efficiency, which enables the electrical energy on a grid to be collected when there is an abundant amount of available electrical energy on said grid, and redistributes the electrical energy to the grid when the electrical energy is running out. The device mainly includes a compact, dense ballast, said ballast having a matching hydrodynamic and aerodynamic shape, and a flow cavity suitable for holding energy corresponding to the maximum energy of said ballast in said cavity, said ballast being capable of moving along the main axis of flow in said cavity, said device further including an energy collection and recovery means and a control means. A braking coefficient and a safety factor are defined and adjusted on the basis of the nature of the movement of the ballast in the flow cavity. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the storage of electrical energy.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to devices and methods for green storage of electrical power, which are used to collect and store electrical energy from a network, and then redistribute this energy to the network when needed to balance supply and demand. [0002] The purpose of the present invention is mainly the collection, storage and release of electrical energy. [0003] More specifically, it also concerns the storage of energy in the form of gravitational potential energy and the release of kinetic and gravitational potential energy resulting from the loss of height of the weight. [0004] It is particularly suitable for the storage and supply of large amounts of electrical energy in a relatively short period of time. [0005] In addition, it is perfectly suitable for power supply to compensate peak consumption. [0006] More specifically, it also relates to a device for storing the potential energy of a weight having a high efficiency and using a c...
