[0039] Soybean plants were inoculated with an aqueous spore suspension of the fungal pathogen (Asian soybean rust - Phakopsora pachyrhiza) 2 hours and 24 hours after compound application. In addition, infected untreated plants with sporulation lesions were kept in experimental pots throughout the duration of the experiment. Soybean plants were propagated from seed in a greenhouse at a density of 3 seeds per pot filled with sandy loam. Plants were sprayed at growth stages V2 to V3 (2-3 trifoliate growth) and then inoculated with the pathogen at the above-mentioned intervals. After inoculation, plants were maintained at high humidity and 26°C to support spore germination and host leaf colonization. Evaluations were performed 12-15 days after inoculation. Aliquots of the 10% SC formulation of Compound I were diluted in water to obtain spray solutions containing 25, 100 and 400 ppm active ingredient.
