A plurality of types of unsaturated polyester resin are matched with one another to form a body of the composition. The unsaturated polyester resin composition is characterized by comprising the modified unsaturated polyester resin. The unsaturated polyester resin composition and the bulk molding compound have the advantages that the stability of the molding compound can be effectively improved owing to special effects of the modified unsaturated polyester resin and particle sizes and proportions of preferable inorganic fillers, the unsaturated polyester resin composition is not thickened by the traditional alkali metal systems, accordingly, pre-mixing and follow-up curing viscosity control procedures and the like and expensive viscosity reducers and impregnating compounds can be omitted, and energy consumption of production equipment can be reduced; the bulk molding compound can be manufactured by the aid of a compression molding technology, a transfer molding technology and an injection molding technology, and a manufactured molded product is excellent in thin-walled appearance and mechanical strength as compared with an equivalent product thickened by alkali metal systems.
