Abstract

The invention provides a wireless terminal positioning method and device. The wireless terminal positioning method is applied to wireless network equipment; the wireless network equipment comprises an antenna selection switch and at least three antennae; the method comprises the following steps: selecting the next antenna from a preset antenna group as a current working antenna by controlling the antenna selection switch, wherein the antenna group comprises at least three antennae; sending a positioning message to an STA to be positioned through the current working antenna; according to a response message, in allusion to the positioning message, returned by the STA to be positioned, determining a position parameter of the STA to be positioned under the current working antenna, and judging whether an unselected antenna exists in the antenna group, if so, returning to an antennae control unit for processing, otherwise, ending the process. Compared with the prior art, the wireless terminal positioning method and device have the advantage as follows: a network owner does not need to deploy a large number of APs for positioning, so that the AP deploying cost is greatly reduced.
