The method comprises the steps of measuring the accumulated snow thickens through an ultrasonic ranging sensor within the length of time k in case of snow falls at the field; measuring the field temperature through a temperature sensor; acquiring field humidity through a humidity sensor; compensating the ranging result according to the acquired temperature and humidity and based on the ultrasonic ranging result so as to obtain accumulated snow thickness measurement result; dividing the measured result of the accumulated snow thickness in step 3 by the snowfall time through a single-chip microcomputer to obtain the snowfall speed; sending the acquired and calculated data to a remote monitoring center. The method is suitable for dynamic real-time remote monitoring of the snow conditions.
