Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a network access method and a piece of user equipment. By adopting the method, a piece of UE can be found in time and accessed to an LTE network when the UE enters an area supporting CSFB from an area not supporting CSFB. The method comprises the following steps: a piece of UE receives broadcast of a current cell, wherein the broadcast includes the current location area code (LAC); the UE enables a function which is closed and used for LTE network communication when determining that the current LAC is different from a locally stored LAC; and the UE detects an LTE network of the cell through the function used for LTE network communication, and initiates an access process to the LTE network.
