Abstract

The invention discloses a concurrent-stream-based rapid channel switching method of a P2P real-time playing system. With the method, a problem of too long waiting time during channel switching process can be solved. A P2P system is added to a node and a program watching request is sent to a directory server; the directory server updates a channel hotness list in an on-line node statistic module according to the node request and then a channel prediction module in the directory server calculates the number M of channels sent to the request node by using a latest channel hotness list; the directory server notifies the request node to send a request containing preloading item concurrent streams of the top M channels in popularity to other nodes or a content server; the other nodes or content server respond / responds to the node request and send / sends concurrent streams containing multiple channel data; and when a user carries out channel switching, whether a new channel is already in the concurrent stream is checked; if so, the user can carry out channel switching direction with no waiting; otherwise, the node needs to apply for a channel content with the content server again.
