Abstract

The present invention relates to a sewing machine wherein the preset operating value can be easily confirmed by an operator. The sewing machine comprises a stepless switch, a hall sensor and a drive circuit for driving the hall sensor. The stepless switch enables the sewing machine to run according to the operating value. The hall sensor and the drive circuit output a voltage corresponding to the operating value of the stepless switch. The CPU of the sewing machine detects the voltage value of the drive circuit and then conducts a preset operation based on the sewing machine. The preset operation is related to the action of the sewing machine. The sewing machine comprises a storage device for corresponding data obtained based on the preset operation and the voltage value. The CPU apprizes the preset operating value (S66, S69 and S72) according to the corresponding data and the voltage value of the drive circuit during the steps of S65, S68 and S71.
