Abstract

A wound therapy device (2), comprising - an outer part (4) comprising an inner part facing surface (6) provided with an inner part facing opening (8), and a first connection channel (10) to establish fluid communication between said inner part facing opening (8) and a connecter opening (12) adapted to be connected to an external device (14). The device further comprises - an inner part (16) comprising an outer part facing surface (18) provided with an outer part facing opening (20), and a second connection channel (22) to establish fluid communication between said outer part facing opening (18) and an opening (24) adapted to be arranged in connection with a wound (26), wherein said inner part (16) is adapted to be arranged under a wound cover film (28) in relation to the wound (26), and - a locking means (32) adapted to attach and lock said outer part (4) to said inner part (16), having said wound cover film (28) arranged between said parts, and such that said inner part facing opening (6) and outer part facing opening (18) are positioned to essentially correspond to each other. The invention also comprises a wound therapy arrangement (50) comprising the wound therapy device, a wound filler, an external device, a wound cover film, and tubing connections (15). In addition a method of using the wound therapy arrangement is disclosed.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a wound treatment device and a wound treatment device according to the preambles of the independent claims. The invention also relates to methods of using the wound treatment device. Background technique [0002] In the medical field, there are many types of wounds that need to be treated. In some cases, they are postoperative wounds, while in other cases they may be open wounds that do not yet close, such as when there is an infected point, when periodic drug administration to an open wound is required, or when In chronic non-healing pressure sores, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, or when wounds are too large to be closed surgically and must be allowed to heal on their own. In such cases, it is known to be desirable from a wound treatment perspective to apply negative pressure or suction to the wound to remove fluid and exudate from the wound. [0003] A number of techniques are available to promote wound healing, including...
