Abstract

The invention relates to a clustering tree topology construction method for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (HWSNs) based on energy prediction. The clustering tree topology construction method comprises the steps: 1) analyzing and estimating the network average residual energy value of the next round according to the average residual energy and the energy difference value of the whole network in ideal conditions; 2) selecting a cluster head based on communication cost, guiding the cluster forming process by combination of node energy, link reliability and node spacing; and 3) selecting a suitable node as a relay node among the nodes in the cluster after forming of the cluster, and then transmitting the data to the cluster head. The clustering tree topology construction method for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (HWSNs) based on energy prediction can obtain an optimal clustering tree topology network based on the precondition of less energy consumption when the heterogeneous wireless sensor networks are in the initial state so that energy consumption is saved and simultaneously the life cycle of networks is prolonged as long as possible.
