Abstract

The invention discloses a data transmission apparatus and method, pertaining to the field of Internet technology. The data transmission apparatus comprises a label acquisition module used for acquisition of extensible hypertext markup language HTML labels. The extensible HTML labels are used for acquisition and transmission of data. The data transmission apparatus further comprises a data acquisition module used for acquisition of data corresponding to target pages based on extensible HTML labels acquired by the label acquisition module. The data transmission apparatus also comprises a data sending module used for sending data acquired by the data acquisition module to a server. The data transmission apparatus and method have following beneficial effects: the problem in the prior art that JavaScript codes written by web developers and used for data acquisition may not be suitable for all browsers is solved; poor compatibility of a conventional data sending method is overcome; data can be acquired and sent directly by the browsers via the extensible HTML labels; and without writing JavaScript codes used for acquisition of data, a data sending method can be suitable for all browsers so that the effect of improving compatibility is achieved.
