According to the method and the apparatus of the present invention, communication between different SCSI protocols is implemented by performing different configuration on the same target template based on the different types of the SCSI protocols, and data processing of the storage device with different access modes is implemented by performing different configuration on the same device driver template based on the different access modes of the storage device, so that the compatibility of the multiple types of the SCSI protocols and the storage device with the multiple access modes is effectively implemented, and good expandability is provided.
