Abstract

The present invention provides a method and apparatus paper media content expansion in a mobile terminal with augmented reality technology. The system comprises three modules: a mobile terminal module, a server-side database module, and a marked graph of paper publication. The mobile terminal module further comprises three sub-modules: marked graph scanning and uploading, display of expanded content, and downloading of the expanded content. The paper media needs to be embodied with the marked graph in the content expansion area. The identification image ID needs to correspond to a displayed resource ID. The server module further comprises two sub-modules: a matching module of the marked graph, and a content expansion resource database for downloading by the mobile terminal. The method combines the mobile terminal and the augmented reality technology to expand content of traditional paper media. The expanded content comprises textual commentary, picture browsing, relevant video playing, and a three-dimensional model, thereby greatly enhancing the interest and richness of the paper media, and improving user reading experience at the same time.
