Abstract

The invention provides a color image fusion method based on S-PCNN and Laplacian pyramid, and proposes an effective color image fusion algorithm based on Simplified Pulse Coupling Network (S-PCNN) and Laplacian Pyramid algorithm. In the HSV color space, after using S-PCNN plus local entropy to cluster the H components, the H components of each source image are fused based on the pulse oscillation frequency map; the S and V components are compared using the Laplacian pyramid. The resolution is decomposed, and then the S and V components are fused using different fusion rules. Finally, the new H, S, V components are inversely transformed into color space, and the fusion of RGB color images is realized. The experimental results of the present invention show that the algorithm of the present invention is superior to other commonly used image fusion algorithms in terms of both subjective visual effects and objective evaluation criteria.
