The method comprises the steps that rated transmission active power of an MMC-HVDC system is acquired; required number of groups and time interval of load investment of the passive side of the MMC-HVDC system are acquired; according to the number of groups and rated transmission active power, investment power required by each group of load investment is acquired; whether the passive side of the MMC-HVDC system meets a preset load investment condition is judged; and if so, according to the time interval, the number of groups and the investment power, loads are invested into the passive side of the MMC-HVDC system until all rated transmission active power are invested. Sub-grouped and sub-sequenced load investment is carried out on an MMC-HVDC black-start process. The impact of excessive one-time investment on alternating current system frequency and voltage is avoided. The frequency stability is high.
