Abstract

The invention is suitable for the technical field of optic fibers, and provides a rectangular optic fiber array device comprising an upper substrate, a lower substrate and an optic fiber array, wherein the upper substrate and the lower substrate are butt-jointed. The upper substrate is provided with multiple first strip-shaped V grooves which are closely arranged in parallel, and the lower substrate is provided with multiple second strip-shaped V grooves which are closely arranged in parallel, wherein the distance among the first strip-shaped V grooves is equal to that among the second strip-shaped V grooves, and openings of the first strip-shaped V grooves are right opposite to those of the second strip-shaped V grooves. The optic fiber array comprises a first optic fiber layer positioned by the first strip-shaped V grooves, a second optic fiber layer positioned by the second strip-shaped V grooves, and at least a third optic fiber layer which is sandwiched between the first and second optic fiber layers. The rectangular optic fiber array device also comprises abutting members which abut against two sides of the third optic fiber layer. The upper substrate and the lower substrate are also provided with accommodation grooves for positioning the abutting members. According to the invention, the first optic fiber layer and the second optic fiber layer are positioned by the first and second strip-shaped V grooves, so as to be right opposite to each other. The abutting members are adopted to guarantee that the third optic fiber layer is right opposite to the first and second optic fiber layers, so that multiple optic fibers in each line are accurately aligned.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of optical fiber technology, in particular to a rectangular optical fiber array device and a manufacturing method thereof. Background technique [0002] The fiber optic array is to arrange multiple optical fibers in a multi-layer form, each layer contains multiple optical fibers, and at its front end, the optical fibers are precisely positioned to correctly connect to the fiber optic sensor and signal conditioning channel. In addition to extreme accuracy, the advantages of fiber optic transmission are: very high precision, intrinsically safe electrical, minimally invasive (nanotechnology), immune to radio frequencies, electromagnetic interference and microwave radiation. The existing optical fiber array technology with more than 2 layers adopts the optical fiber tangential dislocation arrangement packaging mode, which cannot achieve high-precision alignment and positioning of the optical fibers in the same column of a...
