Abstract

The invention aims at providing a method and a device for link adaptation for a downlink multi-user MIMO (Multi-In Multi-Out) system. The method comprises the following steps of: respectively calculating a set of any type of multiple user equipments paired possibly, on any PRB (Physical Resource Block) position, and determining a beam forming weight matrix of each user equipment in the set; based on comparison result of a filter CQI (Channel Quality Indicator)) and a CQI threshold of the multiple user equipments of the set, determining a beam forming normalized weight matrix of each of the multiple user equipments; based on a beam forming normalized weight matrix set of the multiple user equipments, and in combination with an original CQI separately reported by the multiple user equipments, determining an estimated CQI of each of the multiple user equipments.
