The method comprises the following steps: sending a monitoring instruction corresponding to the type of an operating system of a monitored computer to the monitored computer; after the monitored computer receives a monitoring instruction, independently calling the own monitoring program of the monitored computer, starting a monitoring process, and monitoring the own resources on the basis of monitoring parameters; and obtaining a monitoring result and carrying out analysis processing by a monitoring end. In the computer resource monitoring method disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, the monitoring end independently sends different monitoring instructions according to the operation types of different monitored computers, and therefore, each monitored computer can call the own monitoring program and monitor the own resources to obtain a monitoring result after receiving the monitoring instructions. Therefore, a purpose that a resource use situation of each computer can be obtained without agent software, and a resource use ratio of the monitored computer can be improved.
