Abstract

The invention relates to a dual clutch transmission (1, 2) for a motor vehicle, comprising a first transmission input shaft (3), a second transmission input shaft (4), two drive shafts (5, 6), multiple gears (8 to 21), and multiple clutch devices (S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6), wherein the first transmission input shaft (3) is connected or can be connected to a drive motor via a first friction clutch, and the second transmission input shaft (4) is connected or can be connected to the drive motor via a second friction clutch. The gears (8 to 21) are arranged so as to mesh such that multiple forward gears can be shifted by means of the clutch device (S1 to S6), and at least one forward gear is designed as a winding gear, a power flow of the winding gear winding via multiple gear stages. A structurally compact dual clutch transmission (1, 2) with reducing gear ratios, in particular approximately progressive gear ratios, is provided in that precisely one double gear plane (29, 38) is provided with three gears (10, 15, 19) designed as idler gears.
