Abstract

The invention discloses a region information sharing method based on fountain coding. Through adoption of the method provided by the invention, some regional nodes in wireless mobile communication can obtain complete data from a mobile information source node. According to the method, through utilization of digital fountain coding characteristics, region information is shared; the information source node carries out fountain coding to file data group by group according to a predetermined coding redundancy rate and sends data to regional information sink nodes. When the fountain code data packet receiving quantities of some information sink nodes in a region are sufficient, the information sink nodes request the un-received fountain code data packets from adjacent nodes in the region; and therefore, sufficient data packets are obtained for file extraction. According to the method provided by the invention, when the information of each node in the region is not received completely, the complete information is unnecessarily obtained through retransmission; the transmission time is reduced; moreover, the coding is carried out through the fountain codes; and therefore the transmission reliability and effectiveness are improved.
