Abstract

The invention discloses a service data transmission method and apparatus for solving the problems of relatively low success rate of data transmission and poor user experience of a method for UE achieving transmission in an LTE-U carrier cell by means of carrier aggregation in the prior art. The method of the invention comprises that a transmitting device transmits service data through a first cell in an unlicensed spectrum; the transmitting device determines a second cell after determining that the first cell cannot meet the transmission requirement of the service data; and the transmitting device transmits the service data through the determined second cell. Since another cell is determined for transmitting the service data in the embodiment of the invention when the cell in the unlicensed spectrum cannot meet the transmission requirement of the service data, the success rate of data transmission is increased, and thus the user experience is improved.
