Abstract

The invention provides silicon-containing polycarbonate and a preparation method thereof. The silicon-containing polycarbonate is prepared from, by weight, 80-98 parts of PC resin, 1-10 parts of polydimethylsiloxane, 1-10 parts of SMA resin, 0.1-1 part of an antioxidant and 0.1-1 part of a lubricant. The preparation method includes the following steps that the PC resin, the polydimethylsiloxane, the SMA resin, the antioxidant and the lubricant are mixed, and blending and granulation are performed in a twin-screw extruder to obtain a product. The silicon-containing polycarbonate has the advantages that the silicon-containing polycarbonate is prepared through reactive extrusion, the polydimethylsiloxane is embedded into the polycarbonate through reactive extrusion, and accordingly the low temperature toughness of the materials is improved; in addition, the organic silicon content can be adjusted according to the adding parts of the polydimethylsiloxane as required, the method is flexible, fast and convenient, the expensive development costs are saved, and the method has the advantages of saving the production costs, improving production efficiency and being environmentally friendly.
