Abstract

The invention relates to a crawler type wall climbing robot. The crawler type wall climbing robot comprises a machine frame. A pair of crawler belt assemblies is symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the machine frame. A steering assembly is arranged at the bottom of the machine frame. The steering assembly comprises a disc type motor rotatably connected to the bottom of the machine frame. The bottom of the disc type motor is coaxially connected with a telescoping cylinder in a fastened mode. The output end of the telescoping cylinder is connected with an electric magnet in a fastened mode. Each crawler belt assembly comprises a rubber crawler belt and a plurality of magnetic attraction units connected with the crawler belt in a fastened mode. Each magnetic attraction unit comprises a cylindrical permanent magnet, a left yoke, a right yoke, an upper magnetic isolation block, a lower magnetic isolation block and a steering engine, wherein the cylindrical permanent magnet is rotatably arranged in a hollow cylinder defined by the left yoke, the right yoke, the upper magnetic isolation block and the lower magnetic isolation block, a rear cover plate is connected to one end of the hollow cylinder in a fastened mode, and the output end of the steering engine is connected with the cylindrical permanent magnet through a coupling. Each steering engine has a 0-degree angle state and a 90-degree angle state. When each steering engine is in the 0-degree angle state, the corresponding magnetic attraction unit is in the magnetized state; and when each steering engine is in the 90-degree angle state, the corresponding magnetic attraction unit is in the demagnetized state.
