The standby traffic signal lamp apparatus comprises a power-off controller, a standby traffic signal lamp main device and standby traffic signal lamp slave devices, wherein the power-off controller is provided with a wireless emission module, which sends non-starting control signals to the standby traffic signal lamp main device when the main power grid is alive, the standby traffic signal lamp main device is arranged in one crossing, the standby traffic signal lamp slave devices are respectively arranged in other crossings, and the standby traffic signal lamp main device is provided with a wireless reception / emission module. The wireless reception / emission module receives the non-starting control signals emitted by the power-off controller, and sends starting or non-starting control signals to the standby traffic signal lamp slave devices.
