The invention provides a heart rate detection method, a detection device and an intelligent wearable device, wherein the method comprises the following steps: acquiring motion characteristic data and heart rate data of a user in a current time period; in accordance with the motion characteristic data, determining an activity status of the user in the current time period; and in accordance with the activity status, acquiring a real-time heart rate value of the user at the current moment from the heart rate data. According to the invention, the intelligent electronic device can determine the activity status of the user in accordance with the motion characteristic data of the user in the current time period, so that the real-time heart rate value of the user can be determined from the acquired heart rate data in accordance with the activity status.
