The framework comprises a front end module, a background server, an FTP (file transfer protocol) server and a signature file, wherein the front end module is responsible for showing the version of a software system and triggering the version updating process; the background server is responsible for scanning and downloading an upgrade package of the software system, executing version updating of the system and maintaining the signature file; the FTP server is used for storing the upgrade package of the software system; the signature file is used for performing message interaction between the front end module and the background server. The invention provides the simple and universal software system updating framework. An existing software system is extended by the aid of the framework, and the user experience is improved.
