The method is carried out through the following steps: for the bias fault of a current sensor, based on current differentials at the three consecutively rising positions of the driving signal in each circuit, positioning the bias sensor; calculating and updating the bias current value in real time; directly utilizing current compensation or bias current proportional integral compensation to eliminate bias current; for short-circuit fault of chopper tube in a power converter, diagnosing the fault through the use of the synchronization and out-of-step relationship between the phase-current gradient and a chopping signal; for short-circuit fault of a positional communication tube, diagnosing the fault through the use of the duration of the lasting time of an adjacent negative voltage lasting interval and using a virtual sensor method to realize phase current fault tolerant reconstruction. According to the invention, the reconstruction method is free of the impacts of a main switch open-circuit fault and can be applied to a switched reluctance motor of various phases. With the method, accurate current can be reconstructed. For its strong error tolerant performance and ease for expansion, the method has good prospects in engineering applications.
