Abstract

The invention provides a banknote detector which comprises a banknote detection shell. A banknote in wheel, a banknote detection wheel, a banknote receiving wheel driven by a driving device are orderly arranged in the banknote detection shell. A detection magnetic head for conveying banknotes is arranged under the detection wheel. A net-shaped conveyer belt is covered by a disinfection shell and is provided with a slot for the in and out of banknotes. The disinfection shell is internally provided with an ozone tube connected to an ozone generator. The ozone tube goes into the disinfection shell and is provided with a plurality of ozone out holes. According to the banknote detector, while the banknote detection personnel detect the banknotes, the disinfection of the banknotes is carried out, the virus infection of the banknote detection personnel is avoided, the net-shaped conveyer belt allows two sides of the banknotes to be in contact with the ozone, and the sterilization of two sides is realized. A disinfection mechanism of the banknotes is arranged between the banknote in wheel and the detection wheel, and the service life of the detection magnetic head is greatly extended.
