The PVC I-shaped steel is produced by the following raw materials in parts by weight: 80-120 parts of PVC resin powder, 45-65 parts of activated light calcium carbonate, 3-6 parts of a compound stabilizer, 8-10 parts of a foaming regulator, 0.9-1.2 parts of a white foaming agent, 0.4-0.8 part of a yellow foaming agent, 0.2-0.4 part of a plasticizer, 0.2-0.4 part of an inner lubricant, 0.4-0.6 part of an outer lubricant and 3-5 parts of an impact-resistant modifier. The invention also discloses a production method of the PVC I-shaped steel applied to the buildings. According to the PVC I-shaped steel applied to the buildings, a reasonable raw material ratio is selected and is combined with a reasonable production method and process parameters, the produced PVC I-shaped steel has higher water resistance, higher impact resistance and higher ageing resistance; meanwhile, the PVC I-shaped steel is light in weight, high in load resistance, smooth and attractive in surface, and convenient to transport and construct. The PVC resin has the characteristics of no toxicity, environment friendliness, flame resistance and recyclability, so that the produced PVC I-shaped steel is recyclable, energy-saving and environmental-friendly, and is long in service life.
