Problems solved by technology

However, the disadvantage of the texture unit is that the dimension is limited. In the latest version 4.5.0 of OpenGL, the length of the three-dimensional texture is limited to no more than 2048.
The data of modern diagnostic and medical treatment generally does not exceed the size of the video memory (mainstream size is 4GB, high-end graphics card is 8GB 16GB), but a certain dimension of the data may exceed the limit of the texture unit

Abstract

The present invention provides a volume rendering method and device of medical data. The method is based on the OpenGL and includes the following steps that: dimensionality analysis is performed on medical volume data; volume data exceeding three-dimensional texture constraints are rearranged or divided; the rearranged or divided volume data are loaded into one or more texture units so as to be adopted as original volume data; corresponding virtual volume data are constructed according to the original volume data; and volume rendering is performed on the virtual volume data.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention mainly relates to the field of medical image processing, in particular to a method and device for volume rendering of medical data. Background technique [0002] Volume rendering (Volume Rendering) is a technology that directly generates a two-dimensional image that can be displayed on the screen from a three-dimensional data field. A typical three-dimensional data field is a three-dimensional data field of medical images. A series of medical image slice data are obtained by computerized tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance (MRI) scanning, and these slice data are regularized according to position and angle information. Then a regular data field composed of a uniform grid in a three-dimensional space is formed. Each node on the grid is a voxel, which describes the attribute information such as the density of the object. Volume rendering takes this voxel as the basic unit of operation, and calculates the influence of each voxel o...
