The invention discloses a method for determining the dynamic characteristic of a large turbine engine base, the method comprising: making a base model based on a geometric similarity ratio of a base prototype and the base model; placing a load magnitude and position specified by a load distribution diagram on the base model based on the load distribution diagram of the base prototype and a similarity relation; placing test points on the base model; performing a vibration test and response prediction of a self-vibration characteristic on heavy operating condition of the base model; testing the dynamic stiffness of a structure disturbance force application point in the directions X, Y, and Z by using an origin excitation testing method; and establishing a modal model and verifying the correctness of an experimental result by using a modal model parameter.
