Abstract

In a system for painting objects (9), a plurality of ring lines (16) extends along a painting booth (1), each ring line conducting an operating medium required for operating an application device (7) provided in the painting booth (1). The ring lines (16) are divided into at least two ring line regions (16a). A connection device (17-24) connects at least some of the ring lines (16) to the application device (7) as required and has a factory-made terminal module (17). The terminal module comprises at least as many ring line sections (19) as there are ring lines. The ring line sections (19) have terminals (20) at the ends in order to connect to the ring line regions (16a). A branch line (21) branches off from each of the ring line sections (19), said branch line leading to a terminal device (22). The terminal device (22) has an inner flow path via which at least some of the branch lines (21) can be connected to an outlet terminal (27). Finally, at least one tube or a line (23) directly or indirectly connects the outlet terminal (27) to the application device (7). The terminal modules (17) are prefabricated in a factory where the machining conditions are favorable and the functionality can be tested. The terminal modules are then brought to the construction site in order to erect the painting system and are fitted into the ring line regions (16a) at the construction site and connected to the application devices (7). In this manner, an immediate functionality is ensured in addition to simplifying and expediting the assembly. Additionally, the terminal modules (17) can also be easily replaced.
