Abstract

Techniques for resource block allocation in multi-user MIMO high-efficiency WLAN systems are provided. Specifically, teachings are given to provide devices or groups of devices with improved resource allocation to reduce waste of available tones when employed individually or together. The present disclosure includes systems that provide users with techniques for allocating data tones before overhead tones or encapsulation units on resource block units. Furthermore, the total allocated bandwidth can be reduced prior to resource allocation to overcome modulation and coding scheme degradation caused by heavy puncturing. Instead, only the band-edge basic resource blocks are reduced to be responsible for mostly band-edge overhead tones.

Description

[0001] related application [0002] This application requires U.S. Patent Application No. 14 / 497,688 filed on September 26, 2014 entitled "ON THE DEFINITION OF THE RESOURCE BLOCK IN OFDMA / UL MUMIMO IN HEW" under 35 U.S.C § 119(e) and 2014 6 The benefit and priority of US Patent Application No. 62 / 017,646, entitled "RATE MATCHED RESOURCE BLOCKS FOR WI-FI," filed March 26, the entire contents of each of which are hereby incorporated by reference. technical field [0003] Embodiments relate to wireless networks. Some embodiments relate to a wireless network operating according to one of the IEEE 802.11 standards, including the IEEE 802.11-2012 standard. Some embodiments relate to resized resource blocks (RBs) in wireless local area networks (WLANs). Background technique [0004] The growing demand for higher data rates in wireless communications has led the industry to develop innovative ways of transmitting data. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) is kno...
